Teddy World

Over the years I have been collecting, or rather saving, Teddy Bears. Not just any bear that happens to cross my path, but rather those that look like they are abused and misunderstood and need a new home. It has become quite a few. They come from all over the world and they all have names and history. I have found that it is easy to make people open up, relax and let "the child inside" come out. Just look at some pictures below. The trick to make people accept the Teddies and to act with them is to pretend to be absolutely serious.

In Russia
Busby on flight deck

I was on a job for NATO/ EADRCC in Russia. We had support from Swedish Air Force C130. Immediately when I let Busby out of my back pack, one of the pilots offered him a sight seeing on flight deck. I did not even have to get up there myself.

Look at the picture. There is someone up in the open window on flight deck.

Move the curser over the aircraft and you will see the detailed picture.

Right: Not to mention what happened inside the big aircraft, during the flight. Busby's two friends Adrian and Snow Boy got out and spent the flight with two of my colleagues Larsa and Goran.

Strapped in for landing
Above: The Teddies well strapped in before landing. Not comfortable, but it is a military cargo plane.
Onboard C130
On the way back to Singapore
Finally a hot meal!!!

If the Teddies had a rough time in Russia, they got compensated for it on the way back. The Swiss air flight attendant ordered them to fasten seat belt before take off, or they would have to stay in the bag. So they strapped in.

Move the cursor over the picture and you see what happened after take off.

Singapore Airlines Panda
Below: He however made an effort being as precise as possible when he explained the flight rout from Singapore to Frankfurt.
Above: The pilot was somewhat surprised when the cockpit was entered by Tom-Yam, DJ and I. He was obviously expecting a child with a teddy bear. Above: DJ even got to try the headphones and listen to the radio traffic.

Night fligt to Europe
Night flight Left: On upper deck in the 747, there is plenty of space in the windows. When I asked the flight attendant if he could arrange a night quarter for Busy and Dragon, he quickly pulled out these two "teddy sleeping bags". I could however not get him to read any bed side story.
